Tea is a drink consumed all over the world for socialization, taste, customs, and many other reasons. It is a drink consumed hot or cold and has a pretty distinct base taste, but comes in many varieties.
Since tea is so well known and specifically known for its most natural taste a lot of teas have new flavors. Some are still pretty natural like different fruits such as lemon, pomegranate, apple, and many others. Along with this tea can be different plants specifically used for reactions to the body.
This includes lavender for relaxation, Mugwort used for an energy boost, and other different additions to increase or decrease something in the body, and having more control over it. Although all of these teas have similarities and differences comparing them all, what is the true difference between flavor tea and pure tea?
Pure tea is any tea that is just made from that tea estate or garden, which basically is just saying it is completely untouched except for its natural basic ingredients. Pure teas are a more subtle taste and aroma while flavored teas are more strong due to the add ons it contains.
There are some health benefits to drinking pure tea which include: exercise endurance, antioxidants, reducing the risks of heart attacks, hydration, bone support, and many others. Although this form of tea is known for health benefits it is not the only reason it is consumed. Pure tea is just a more natural and pure experience for someone interested in trying new teas. As well as, you do not have to worry about unhealthy additions within the tea, but it all comes down to preference.
Flavored tea is any form of original tea given any kind of different add ons to the tea. These teas can also have different scents as well as flavors. This can happen from different plants or flowers being grounded into a liquid form.
The tea then takes that plant or flower’s natural scent as well as its taste. Telling if tea is flavored is a little more challenging than you may think.
This is due to all of the different components of the variety of teas that can come into play with the taste and smell. The tea itself may often look exactly the same way it would without it being flavored. A way to figure this out though is the tea itself will be stronger.
This could mean a very potent aroma or a strong or artificial taste, possibly almost similar to an alcoholic taste for something to partially compare it to. A pure tea’s scent is usually a subtle gentle aroma where a flavored tea may be more likely to be an overbearing scent.
As you drink more tea you will learn the difference between flavored to pure, but it is not a huge factor in your experience.
Drinking tea should not be based on if it is pure or flavored, just enjoy what tastes delicious to you and your preferences!
