Blend tea making process
While Tea Blends are definitely one of those products that have changed the way we look at flavor tea and hot beverages in general, I’d like to raise a question. How much do we actually know about tea blending? Chances are that it isn’t much, and whether you are a tea enthusiast or just a general trivia lover finding out more about the process of tea blending might prove way more interesting than you’d expect.
In all seriousness tea blending is not a particularly complex process, but it is still held to a degree of quality that allows our beloved blends to be so good. It all starts on the first step: Picking. Once all the tea leaves have been harvested the specialists choose which ones are the best and worthy of being used for production, this is largely manual and the amount of care can be seen in their work. Once the Picking is complete the chosen leaves are taken to the oven for Baking. The leaves are first gathered in a bowl and then placed in the oven molds. As the oven can accept a lot of molds at a single time this is one of the fastest steps. Baking largely assures that the leaves are dry and that the flavor gets concentrated for their eventual usage.

Once the Baking process is completed the tea leaves are collected again and taken to a blender. The workers load the dried leaves to the blender and then take the other flavor. For example Rose Leaves. Those leaves also went through a similar picking and baking process meaning that they are also ready to be blended. Once the two main ingredients are loaded the Blender can now be activated. The Blender uses heat and motion to combine the two mixes and in due time the final product will be the tea blends we know and love. So it’s not a long process per se, but it definitely is one where the care and dedication can be seen on every step.
