There are so many food and drink options that use matcha as their key ingredient. Let’s take a look at these easy-to-make and delicious recipes that use matcha tea powder.

Matcha Layered Latte
An amazing and colorful drink that will be great as a refreshing summer beverage, pleasantly surprise your guests and act as a substitute for your coffee addiction.
Ingredients:
-1 teaspoon of matcha green tea powder
-3 teaspoons of honey (or sugar)
-3/4 cup of milk (almond, cow, soy, or any other type of milk)
-1/3 cup of filtered water
-4-5 ice cubes
Recipe:
Pour the milk into the cocktail shaker (use a simple water bottle if you don’t have one). Add honey and shake well for 15 seconds. Pour the mixture into a glass cup and add ice cubes.
Wash the cocktail shaker and pour filtered cold water in it for a new round of shaking. Add matcha green tea powder and vigorously shake again for 15 seconds.
Slowly pour the matcha mixture into a glass cup on top of the milk. Enjoy!
Tip: The reason why the matcha mixture doesn’t sink to the bottom of the glass is because of the sugar level in the milk. The more sugar (honey) you add to the layer the more it will sink to the bottom. Thus you can add honey to the matcha mixture if you want and pour it first to get the green layer at the bottom, but make sure not to add honey to the milk if you want it to be the top layer.
